My name is Janel, and I am a self taught graphic
designer who has a
love for all kinds of personalized stationery! I have
also recently went back to work as a Manager in a
seafood restaurant that my husband and I partly own (see
details below!!).
I am
thrilled and honored when someone picks me to make their greeting
card, address labels or any of my other products as I know there are so many choices out there
today! Designing is my outlet and I always like to work
WITH my customers. I like to give options, and I believe only
the customer can truly make my designs perfect- I just
help and do what they tell me! I think this makes the whole experience much more
personal and memorable for the customer.
I currently live
in GREENVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA with my wonderful
husband Fred, two sweet boys: Austin and
Sean, and our beloved three cats.
I have not taken any college
courses in design- it has all happened by my own
discovery through trial and error. My style and design
knowledge have evolved quite a bit since I first started
in late 2005 --- I started to learn basic layouts in
1999 by creating personalized calendars with my mom, and in 2000,
began learning simple web design for my own personal
informative site. This venture was a result of my mom
encouraging me to learn more about design and she
actually taught me the very first steps to creating my
own graphics. I have always
loved creating my own stationery and cards, and have
been doing that, since I was a young child. I look
forward to creating many more designs! I hope my designs
tickle your belly with joy, each time you view them! :o)

My mom lost her fight to Inflammatory Breast Cancer on
June 24, 2009
She will forever be in our hearts and minds. She was my
Angel, hero and best friend.
I love you mama! Always and Forever!

Mayflower Seafood Restaurant -- NEW LOCATION!!
NOW OPENED!!
Washington, North Carolina
My husband and I are part owners of the new Mayflower
Seafood Restaurant coming soon to Washington, NC.
I am thrilled to announce on May 11th, 2009 we opened
our doors to the public! I am helping my husband as a
Manager, which is exciting because I am originally from
Beaufort County, so I am able to see a lot of familiar
faces! I was also able to design an awesome blue crab
graphic for the back of our employee t-shirts (also
available to the public). My dad donated some old
commercial fishing nets he had, and those are displayed
decoratively on the walls and my husband and I picked
out a lot of cool nautical items that were put on
display within the restaurant. Come by to eat some yummy
seafood (we offer other items too) if you're in the
area! The fried pickle chips are oh-so-yummy!

My mom
has been battling Metastatic Inflammatory Breast Cancer since April
2005. She is an amazing woman...my best friend...and she's going through
