Today was a laid back day…didn’t do too much. I have felt extremely tired lately…hubby says my body tries to shut down b/c I don’t let it relax and I’ve been on the go for quite some time. Plus I have a lot of things going on in my head b/c of losing mom. There’s so much to do but I just feel too tired to do it. 

I forgot to mention Tuesday that two packages arrived in the mail. My awesome sis-n-law who lives in Queens NY, sent me yet another birthday gift (said it was on back order in June), and rainbow cookies! She is a generous and thoughtful person. She sends care packages all the time and tons of gifts on birthdays and Christmas. She makes the most amazing (from scratch) chocolate chip cookies that are actually healthy to eat I’m told. My hubby being part Italian and from NY often misses all the Italian pastries you can get up there. He mentioned to his sister he had a craving for some rainbow cookies not long ago, after we watched an episode of “Cake Boss” on TLC (we love that show!!). On that episode, they made a huge lobster tail filled with pink cream for an expectant mother and a huge plate of various Italian pastries accompanied it. Too bad hubby is at work most of the day b/c our oldest son and I have been thoroughly enjoying those rainbow cookies and we will probably end up eating them all :O) just kidding….we’ll save hubby at least one…ok…maybe two :O) lol…here’s some pics of the delicious, cake-like cookies:

I’m trying to get hubby to arrange it so we can visit his family in NYC in October…When I lived there, I just loved NY in the fall, it’s beautiful! I also love the many restaurants and places we can go for fun. Most of his family is still there, with the exception of his parents, they live in Henderson, Nevada. Kelly Clarkson will also be on tour in NYC the first of Oct and I would LOVE to go see her in concert again (would make my 4th time :O) Well, I’m off to find something to eat. Sometimes I forget that part of my day!
